Building your email list could be your solution for the New Year
Listen to this post
List building is probably something that you don’t want to hear, especially at the beginning of the New Year. However, putting more focus on building your email list might be the solution you were looking for.
focus on the solution…
One of the best things that can happen from the New Year is list building and the instant access that it provides on information regarding customers who have purchased products from you, purchased via your offerings, or simply from those people who enjoy your ideas. Of course, these things can’t happen for you and your online business if your focus is elsewhere. List building and email marketing should be a primary factor for online marketers as you enter the New Year and a new decade.
Having an email list gives you complete ownership. Think about many of the social media sites and all the changes that are being made to their privacy and user settings. Nobody is really sure what will happen in the future and what restrictions might come down. Everything from communication and sharing may end up changing in ways that might seem uncomfortable. Guess what, your email list will still provide a line of communication where you can stay in touch with subscribers and your targeted audience.
While social media is still going strong in some areas, your email list will always be a crucial part of online marketing. Think of this, some people may not like or even participate with many social networking sites, but one thing they’ll more than likely have is an email account.
How about the countless numbers of people in general that thrive within the marketplace or even within your own specific target audience, your niche. For instance, let’s use baby boomers as an example (here’s a useful tip for those individuals who are struggling to find a market or niche). According to Rutigliano (2017), baby boomers comprise one of the biggest sectors of consumers which is roughly 40% of the marketplace and marketers should be focused on more effective strategies geared towards baby boomers.
While many of the individuals classified as baby boomers may be considered less tech savvy, there’s still a lot who comfortably manage technology. However, there’s still a good deal of baby boomers who struggle with certain things, especially within the online marketplace. Whether it’s social media or software applications, the one fallback is email.
Building a list gives online marketers a simple and organized way to introduce new ideas, products, services, etc.
It doesn’t matter what you’re doing now online, if you’re finding it challenging with list building and your efforts are going nowhere fast, you’re simply not focused. Dropping a sign-up form on your site is not list building and it’s certainly not enough to grab the attention you need. Building an email list usually requires a little effort, a reasonable plan of action, and definitely more than one angle.
